The Untold Stories: Kagame’s Desire and Selfishness Opens the Gates of Hell

The brutal rule of President Kagame for the last 21 years has not come as a surprise, for the last 5 decades since Independence of most African nations, Africans have always tried to free themselves, however, the very people who claim to be revolutionaries and Messiahs end up enslaving the people they are bound to save.

Therefore Kagame is no exceptional to the list of his worst African predecessors who have ruled Africa with the Iron hand. As I have mentioned above humanity has always sought ways of freeing themselves from gates of hell and make no mistake, as Kagame seeks his life presidency through his canny methods, the Rwandan people will find ways to return the favor.

Kagame will also go in history as one of the evil dictators of Rwanda, and while his admirers undeniably credit him for getting things done, his biggest share of evil has forfeited all the so called good things he has done.

Kagame like other dictators manipulated the Rwandan people when their willpower is weak, he has got rid of close friends, and he makes rousing speeches coupled with intimidation to convince or coerce people to do what he wants.

All Dictators don’t learn from their counterparts and cannot imagine the kind of blowback coming ferociously on their own way. Namely, the mayhem being visited on much of Burundi, the fall of Col. Muamar Kaddafi and other dictators of Africa who President Kagame knows very well, Like Idi Amin whose removal in 1979 created his close ally and comrade President Museveni of Uganda.

Despite the mayhem Ugandans went through, the new leadership did not leave to its promise that they will be able to hand over power from one leader to another through a ballot box rather than a bullet. Accordingly, those who support Kagame have started to doubt his seriousness on the self-governing democracy equipped with the means to insure internal order and security. Washington politicians—including President Bill Clinton praised the Rwandan dictator who once said that he has no doubt that Kagame will step down after his constitutional mandate in 2017.

Is the West disappointed by the Kagame’s appetite for power?

The West including the United States of America have been under illusion that Kagame is an exceptional hybrid of leaders, and it was their successors in the west who installed a series of corrupt and brutal rulers, before even Kagame was born, the likes of Idi Amin, including kings, generals and Saddam Hussein himself, like the above mentioned dictators, Kagame has maintained a tentative blood-soaked semblance of governance in his country.

What these leaders in the West didn’t realize is that, by supporting Kagame, they opened the gates of hell for not only Rwanda but also neighbors like Congo who have been devastated by the Kagame’s proxy wars in which an estimated Six Million people have died. All the military mayhem which followed has aggravated, widen and mobilized all of the latent ethnic conflicts and enmities that had been bottled up for decades inside Rwanda which came to a climax with genocide of Tutsis and massacre of thousands of moderate Hutus..

Ironically, the bloodthirsty Kagame was and is still supported by the American Administration, the UK government; they have armed and trained his security forces.

Kagame’s manipulation of the people should be equated with the North Korea where people are forced to worship their young leader Kim Jong-un, indeed, the actions of the Kagame’s parliament today to change Article 101 of the Rwandan Constitution to give Kagame life presidency is just tiny manifestation. Isn’t it time to at least stop fueling the blowback? Therefore Rwandans reserve the right to use all means necessary to resist the Kagame dictatorial regime and life presidency.
