S&P affirms ratings on Rwanda at “B+/B”, outlook negative

Standard & Poor’s affirmed its long and short-term foreign and local currency sovereign ratings on Rwanda at “B+/B” on the long- and short-term foreign and local currency sovereign credit.
Despite this, the country’s outlook has been revised from stable to negative due to raising balance of payments risks. Joining CNBC Africa for an insight on this is Ravi Bhatia, Director of Sovereign Ratings at Standard and Poor’s.
