I just received from Mivule Justo more heartbreaking news about his young brother MUGABO ROBIEN, who is currently being held in Kagame’s prison for no reason.
According to Mivule Justo, his brother is being persecuted because of his critics against President Paul Kagame’s failed policies in Rwanda. Below is Mivule Justo’s additional information about his jailed brother:
“My brother MUGABO ROBIEN is approaching 39yrs of age and he was working with an LGBT organization in Rwanda, which he also represented using his Facebook page under his name, Mugabo Robien which he last used the 19th of March 2017. Then, 5days ago is when a wife of one of his friends received a call with a man speaking Kinyarwanda told her to inform our mother to travel to Rwanda to get my brother out of jail or he will be imprisoned for life. He warned not to be called back on that number that he will only call. So there’s no charge agaisnt my brother and it’s a one way communication with those holding him, we can’t talk to them. They are also trying to trick our mother to follow into the one way trap. These are Kagame’s agents holding him because Kagame tried different times to assassinate me here in America. I have names of people who poisoned me Maine, others tried to use a gun man to gun me down in Maryland. God has always saved me, Glory to God.”
This is the last time Mugabo Robien updated his profile picture on his Facebook.
Robien Mugabo should be released immediately with no condition and we urge everyone who will read this sad story to share it with friends. Also, please tweet to President Kagame (@Paulkagame2017, @UrugwiroVillage) asking that Robien Mugabo be freed immediately without any condition.
Based on Robien Mugabo’s job as an LGBT organizer and past experiences in respect to LGBT supporter in Africa generally, his life maybe more in danger.
