Rwanda National Congress Youth League on behalf of the Rwandan youth we are deeply outraged and saddened by the saddest news of assassination of Kizito Mihigo by the Rwandan government of President Paul kagame.
Kizito Mihigo a genocide survivor was many things, popular gospel singer, Song writer, organist composer of sacred music, Television presenter and a peace reconciliation activist.
He founded Kizito Mihigo Peace Foundation (www.Kizitomihigo.com) which cost him his life, unlike others he refused to use his foundation and his name as genocide survivor to oppress those who the Kagame regime considered enemies but he chose to use his genocide ordeal to bring reconciliation, quality and justice for all Rwandans.
Kizito was arrested and tried in 2014 on trumped charges including alleged conversations via internet with a member of RNC, an opposition organization in exile that government describes as a terrorists organization.
He was released on presidential pardon due to international our cry but confined in the country without a possibility of living the boarders of the capital city Kigali in essence remaining a state prisoner.
We believe Kizito Mihigo was one of our youth leaders of our time with a progressive mind, who stood for equality and justice for all our people.
We have no doubt in our mind that Mihigo has been killed by the unlawful and criminal regime of Paul Kagame and his RPF criminal Cabal because of his just views and refusing to identify with Kagame’s regime which he was fleeing before his assassination.
As the youth of Rwanda National Congress we are deeply saddened by the assassination and we condemn his assassination in the strongest terms possible by the Rwandan criminal regime led by Paul Kagame and his killing machine.
We therefore wish to remind our youth all over the world that we have a calling and an obligation upon us to stop this criminal Cabal from continuous and relentless heinous crimes against our people.
We call upon all progressive peace loving forces of the region and entire international community to join us in our endeavours to condemn and stop these senseless killings of innocent Rwandans by prioritizing the struggle to save Rwandan people.
We shall plan, campaign and devise means to stop this criminal Cabal of president Paul kagame. Impossible is nothing our fore fathers defeated the likes of apartheid in, drove out the
