This is a sign that Museveni is about to fight back! He shouldn’t trust Lourenco & Tshisekedi who are on Kagame’s side.

Museveni Blames Diplomatic Row On Rwandan Army, Says Prisoners with Capital Offenses Won’t Be Released”.

President Yoweri Museveni, just moments after meeting his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame for discussions on deescalating tensions between Uganda and Rwanda, has openly dismissed as untrue, some of the claims raised by the neighing country.

Museveni said Friday evening, that the allegations that anti-Kagame armed elements are taking refuge in Uganda are false.

While addressing hundreds of residents in Kabale town shortly after the quadripartite meeting at the Katuna border, Museveni traced the genesis of the current bad blood between the two countries, to Rwanda’s own national army.

The diplomatic row that led to Rwanda closing its border in February last year, according to Museveni, emanated from the internal conflicts in Rwanda especially within the Rwanda Patriotic Force (RPF) ranks when some members of RPF disagreed with the Rwanda government and majority took refuge in South Africa.

He was referring to the escape of former RPF officers Gen Kayumba Nyamwasa and Patrick Karegeya.

Nyamwasa, a former army chief and Karegeya who was the head of intelligence, accused Kagame’s regime of corruption, human rights violation and threatening their lives.

The rebel group RNC which Rwanda wants disbanded is led by Nyamwasa who maintains he has no intentions of toppling Kagame by force of arms.

He, however, says Kagame’s reign must be brought to an end.
