One person was killed by a grenade attack here in the Rwandan capital Kigali.

Jean Paul Tunezerwe, a 25 year old who lost his life in the incident, is being accused of being the perpetrator through suicide bombing in a Berber Shop, Kimironko, Kigali at 5pm Central African time. Pacifique Niyikiza the barber managed to get Jean Paul Tunezerwe out of the shop before the grenade went off.

Political tension here is high because of a battle of survival amongst the ruling elite. Paul Kagame’s signature method of fighting to regain full control is predictably terrorism, which he has done before whenever he was faced with stiff opposition. The years 2010 to 2013 are a reminder of the terror Kagame is willing to unleash onto Rwandans to keep in charge of this country.

However, no one can say with confidence that Kagame is still in totally in charge of command and control of RDF, a force that he has managed to use as the most brutal force and weapon by any leader of any post independent Africa. From the grapevine, a number of people, especially within the military are either being held or have already been killed.
Kigali night grenades, seem to be aimed at helping Kagame fabricate treason charges against senior army officers, beginning with Gen Patrick Nyamvumba, a man he has failed to have arrested for the last one week.

The last order given out by the a tough talking CIC to have Nyamvumba arrested was reportedly not executed because Kagame was advised by those who recieved this order to find another trusted force from within the Republican Guard to do it, because as they explained, they feared falling into either a trap or an ambush where they could lose their lives. We all now know the Republican guard is tremendously weakened and the President can’t afford to risk the few he is left with.

Sgt. Gasasira @large Kigali.
