Never fight a determined people, especially people trying to defend their lands, their homes, their identity, their dignity and destiny. Afghanistan, Vietnam and South Africans during apartheid should be a good case studies. As the Viet Cong insurgents used to say, “we are home, time is on our side, we will all die for this land, for our destiny and Identity than accepting the invaders USA and its puppet regime in South Vietnam.”
In military science there is what is known as “operation harassment, ”frustrate the enemy’s plan to force them make mistakes and demoralise them up to a day they lose the will to fight. Case studies: Taliban insurgency, NRA insurgency and Viet Minh/Ho Chi Minh insurgency.
