The mother and sister of Diane Rwigara said all three of them had been tortured and deprived of food as they were held in jail. The mother, Adeline Rwigara, told a court “We were handcuffed day and night, without eating or drinking,” adding they had once gone without food and medication for a week.
All because her daughter, Diane, wanted to run against Kagame in the presidential election. She was never allowed to run by the way, Kagame did not let her.
