The great music piece was sang after days of going from one studio to another, contacting one producer to another; and all of them telling him that they can’t record his songs due to strict orders from above. Gospel singer Kizito Mihigo had several of songs which he had written while in criminal Paul Kagame’s dungeon. On this day, armed with a camera from a friend, he sang the song below.
In April 2014, after being arrested by DMI thugs at the orders of criminal Paul Kagame, Gospel singer Kizito Mihigo’s songs were banned from being played by radio or TV stations, being listened or played in public and being sold.
On 15th September 18, after being released from criminal Paul Kagame’s dungeon, restrictions on his songs remained standarding. And all recording companies in the potato enclave (Rwanda) feared dealing with him. And he wouldn’t go outside the country to record his music because the police state had put travel restrictions on him.
Since his release, singer Kizito Mihigo wasn’t allowed to have a national identity card (Ingamuntu) or a passport. Since September 2018, local officials, on different occasions refused to grant him a national identity card sighting as orders from above. And in the potato enclave – Rwanda, you can’t obtain a passport without a national identity card.
Like other countries, without a national identity card, it’s next to impossible to access any service(s) including applying for employment, and Kizito Mihigo was always unable to access any service because of criminal Paul Kagame’s policy of denying official identities like identity cards or passports to anyone suspected of being anti regime. And gospel singer Kizito Mihigo fell in this category of oppressed and enslaved citizens. Like millions of Rwandans, he was being denied his basic human rights.
On the 15th September 18, Kizito Mihigo was only released from a closed prison to an open prison called Rwanda.
“My family, what did I do to you? What pain did I cause to you? Please answer me.
My family, what did I do to you? What pain did I cause to you? Please answer me. I took you away from Israel but you prepared a cross for your saviour.
My family, what did I do to you? What pain did I cause to you? Please answer me. I opened for you the sea, while you opened my ribs with a spear.
My family, what did I do to you? What pain did I cause to you? Please answer me. I took you through heaven, for you, you led me to Pilato’s hall.
My family, what did I do to you? What pain did I cause to you? Please answer me. I gave you blessed water from the ground, while you gave me poisoned sour wine.
My family, what did I do to you? What pain did I cause to you? Please answer me. I raised you with too much power, for you, you hanged me on a cross tree.
My family, what did I do to you? What pain did I cause to you? Please answe me.”
R.I.P KIZITO MIHIGO, ASSASSINATED UNDER DIRECT ORDERS OF CRIMINAL PAUL KAGAME ON 17 February 20.
