How did East African Countries Perform in 2013?

Here are World Bank GDP data for 2013 that just came out:

 

‪#‎Bu‬ GDP grew from $2.4bil in 2012 to $2.7bil in 2013, an increase of $3million in a year.
‪#‎KE‬ grew from $40bil in 2012 to $44bil in 2013, an increase of $4bil in a year.
‪#‎RW‬ grew from $7.1bil in 2012 to $7.4bil in 2013, an increase of $3million in a year.
‪#‎TZ‬ grew from $28bil in 2012 to $33bil in 2013, an increase of $5billion in a year.
‪#‎UG‬ grew from $20bil in 2012 to $21bil in 2013, an increase of $1billion in a year.

 

DGP per capita increased as follows:

#BU increased from $251 in 2012 to $267 in 2013, an increase of $16.
#KE grew from $933 to $994 in 2013, an increase of $61.
#RW grew from $623 to $633 in 2013, an increase of $10.
#TZ grew from $609 to $695 in 2013, an increase of $86.
# UG grew from $551 to $572 in 2013, an increase of $21.

 

As indicated, Tanzania was the best performer in both GDP and GDP per capita followed by Kenya. Rwanda was the worst performer in GDP per capita and tied Burundi in GDP growth.
