Extracting “confessions”, self incriminating statements, from victims of political crimes is an old common tactic for all dictators.

Prof Charles Kambanda :

1. Extracting “confessions”, self incriminating statements, from victims of political crimes is an old common tactic for all dictators.

Criminologists present extracting confessions from victims as a red flag for political crimes. It should do you well to study this area of criminology.

2. I have seen the silly talk that Rusesabagina “confessed” to have formed/created FLN. I did not expect fairly educated people to fall for this.

It’s not true that Rusesabagina created or was part of the group that created/formed FLN.
Helpful facts:
a) Rusesabagina started his political organization, PDR -IHUMURE, in 2010.

b) In 2017, different Rwandan politicians in exile formed a “coalition” called MRCD. MRCD was composed of
(i) PDR- Ihumure (Rusesabagina’s group)

(ii) CNRD, Gen Welson’s political organization, which allegedly owns a rebel group called FLN.

(iii) RRM, and

(iv) RDI-Rwanda Rwiza.

There is sufficient evidentiary proof that MRCD never had control over FLN. A couple of months ago, CNRD broke away from MRCD. Why? CNRD alleges that when they joined MRCD, they joined a political organization, as such, their military wing never became part of MRCD.

CNRD leadership is on record; FLN was never under MRCD. Secure the different nasty letters these groups exchanged before and after CNRD left MRCD. The supreme leader of FLN said this long before Rusesabagina was kidnapped.

How would a fairly educated person go spontaneous in the “Sea” of well documented knowledge?

Why would #Rusesabagina tell a lie against his personal interest? The answer is simple; in such cases, dictators extract self incriminating statements from their victims. I thought you studied basic criminology, especially categories and characteristics of crimes. It’s an interesting area in criminology you MUST know if you want methodical discourse over this.
