Confirmed: Her phone lines cut off, phone lines of those who live with her cut off, house internet cut off. From Friday, gagged against speaking to the press, unmarked security cars parked outside her – family residence 24/7, not gone to her office since last Thursday, confined to her – family residence….etc. Her only crime was to dare stand against Rwanda’s criminal ruler. A process that ended by cowardly being removed from the short list of candidates allowed to stand for presidential elections.
Now Diane Shima Rwigara is facing what is known in intelligence service as frustration mechanism. This can be done through many ways, i.e humiliation, enclosing movement space, intimidations – threats, making someone jobless, attacking a targeted person’s business or businesses….etc. And Rwanda’s junta system has mastered this mechanism with great precision.
