How Museveni is planning to steal the election? Uganda Electoral Commission ban of mobile phones at polling

Besigye, Mbabazi Agree

Candidates Dr Kizza Besigye and Amama Mbabazi separately come out against Uganda Electoral Commission ban of mobile phones at polling

During his press conference, Amama Mbabazi said, by banning usage of mobile phones at the polling stations, “The Electoral Commission is hiding something”.

On the other hand, Kizza Besigye asked Ugandans to carry their phones along on election day and use them to report any suspect occurrences.

Besigye says the Electoral Commission (EC) Chairman Badru Kiggundu has no powers to ban the use of mobile phones.

In a tweet today, EC maintains: Cellphones are only allowed outside polling stations. This is to facilitate privacy during the ‘secret ballot’ voting. #UgandaDecides nbs.ug.live
