Richard Sezibera: 3 Months after Being Poisoned, Rwanda Government Still Mute about his Where Abouts.

It is now three months ever since Rwandan minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Richard Sezibera was last seen in public after he was admitted in critical condition following suspected food poisoning.

Sezibera was last seen in office in July shortly after he returned to Kigali from United Kingdom where it is suspected that he ate food or drink laced with poison during a dinner organized by Rwandan ambassador to United Kingdom.

The former RPF bush war hero was later airlifted to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi Kenya with multiple organ failure before the conditions worsened and was referred to a hospital inNew Delhi in India for more specialized treatment.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that Sezibera was discharged but since then he has never been seen in public or stepped at his office.

His duties have since been taken over by his deputy Olivier Nduhungirehe the state minister for foreign affairs and international cooperation.

The government in Kigali has remained tightlipped about the matter from the start and no Rwandan official is willing to speak about Sezibera’s sickness whenever approached by Commandpost about the incident.

Only Sezibera’s twitter account is sometimes active and retweets senior government officials’ tweets rarely posts.

However, it is reported that Sezibera’s social media accounts are being run by some security operatives to keep engaging the public and give them home that the minister is alive.

His deputy Olivier Nduhungirehe is also not willing to divulge details about his boss’ whereabouts and health.

Sezibera’s family when approached was also not readily available for a comment.
