General Paul Kagame vanished from public view since Coronavirus struck Rwanda. Currently, Rwanda has 54 Covid19 cases as of March 27, 2020. While other leaders give regular briefings to comfort their stressed nations, Kagame hides.
Today (March 27, 2020), Kagame gave a 5:38 minute recorded statement. It was empty speech. There was absolutely nothing to lend a hand to struggling poor Rwandans. At least he should have said that the government will tap into the Agaciro Development Fund to help the struggling Rwandans facing starvation due to the total lockdown.
But I guess all money from that fund was spent by Paul Kagame through his weekly travels abroad. In his 5:38 statement, Kagame was isolated — there was no one near him. No media to ask any questions. This is, perhaps, Kagame’s lowest point in his 26 year-long dictatorship. He no longer even pretends to lead.
