Kagame Is Renting A Crowd From Abroad To Hear Him Praising Himself For Making Rwanda Rich

Rwanda Day Atlanta

By David Himbara

On December 19–20, 2019, hundreds of Rwandans will gather in Kigali, Rwanda, to hear General Paul Kagame congratulating himself for making Rwanda rich.

Kagame does this annually in December in what is know as Umushyikirano or the so-called “National Dialogue.” On this occasion, Kagame will no doubt lie that he has achieved Vision 2020, even though Rwanda remains one of the poorest countries in the world. With 55 percent of Rwandans living on US$1.90 a day, Rwanda is the poorest country in the East African Community, except for Burundi.

To ensure that Kagame has a massive audience from overseas for the December occasion, Rwandan embassies are inviting whoever wants to travel to Rwanda. Shown here is the invitation from Rwanda High Commission inviting Rwandans to register for the December meeting in Rwanda.

Imagine how much money Kagame will spend on travel, accommodation, meals, and local transportation for renting a crowd from overseas.
