- Rwanda’s total population = 12 million
- Productive population ( Labor Force) = 6 million
- Unemployment rate = 3.4%
However, Rwanda is a police state; Kagame’s intelligence knows what each individual earns. Nobody would reasonably hide his/her income from Kagame’s militarized tax collection body.
According to Rwanda Revenue Authority – in its 2016 annual report – the following is the overall Rwandans’ tax payment profile:
a) Only 302, 550 Rwandans pay (PAYE), Pay as You Earn
b) Only. 26,373 Rwandans pay ( PIT), Personal Income Tax.
Rwanda Revenue Authority Report appear to confirm Rwanda Social Security Fund statistics: about 330,000 Rwandans contribute to Social Security Fund.
Effectively, ONLY about 330,000 Rwandans are employed in the public and private sectors of the country.
Therefore, Kagame junta claim of 3.4% unemployment rate is pure propaganda.
Does it surprise anybody that Rwanda is allover mortgaging the Sovereign for loans after Kagame’s ruthless troops were smoked out of DRC mines ( minerals) and forests ( timber/wood) ?
Does it surprise anybody that Rwanda’s exports stand at about $300 million while imports stand at about $3 billion?
Isn’t the famine that’s claiming lives in Rwanda, under the junta’s watch, a logical sequence of Kagame’s poor economic policy?
ON the other hand, Kagame’s net worth stands at about $500 million. Kagame is richer than all the five US living ex presidents’ net worth put together.
