Kagame No Longer The American And British Darling

By David Himbara

In the newly released report by the UK’s Department for International Development, Rwanda is no longer featured among the top partners. In Africa, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Somalia, South Sudan and DRC are the top ten countries where British aid is most active.

In the 2018 budget of the US Department of State’s support for African countries’ defence forces, Rwanda is no longer among priority countries. Priority defence forces for the US are Cameroon, Chad, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Senegal, Tanzania, Nigeria, Uganda, and Mali.

To those human rights campaigners working to expose the regime, keep up your good work. Your work is paying off.
