Kagame The General Abandoned His Armies In The Battlefield And Gone Into Hiding

By David Himbara

General Paul Kagame has abandoned his armies in the battlefield – and gone into hiding. The last time he publicly and physically appeared was on March 19, 2020, receiving the Egyptian foreign minister.

We are also aware that Kagame’s wife, Mrs Jeannette Kagame Nyiramongi spend hours in the company of the Rwandan-French musician Gaël Faye, on March 7, 2020. Shortly after the event, Faye announced he had caught Covid19.

Whether or not Kagame and Nyiramongi caught Covid19 is besides the point. Kagame is a public servant paid by the Rwandan taxpayers to lead. British Prime Minister Boris caught Covid19 but leads. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau continued to lead while self-isolating when Covid19 attacked his wife.

No other leader we are aware of has jumped ship like General Kagame. He evidently never heard the saying that the captain goes down with the ship – meaning that a real leader holds ultimate responsibility for both his ship and everyone on it, and that in an emergency, he will either save them or die trying. And in this case, we are talking about a ship with 12 million Rwandans on-board.
