Kagame needs $70 million to rehabilitate collapsing transition infrastructure. Rwanda currently has 188 Megawatts, according to Rwanda Energy Group (REG). But 20 percent or 37 Megawatts are lost due to collapsing infrastructure – leaving only 150 Megawatts in a population of 12 million.
Kagame’s power supply is so tiny and shameful. One single Microsoft data centre runs on 177 Megawatts. Kagame’s power supply can’t even run one data centre.
And Kagame says he has built a Singapore.
