“Avoid hungover by being drunk all the time”, is Kagame’s public policy model. Kagame has demolished a significant number of people’s homes, in and around Kigali. The declared reason for the demolition is that these homes are on what Kagame junta calls dangerous land. Some of the affected families have lived on this land for over 70 years.
No compensation or relocation plan for tens of hundreds families that have lost their homes to this unconstitutional government policy.
Homeless families now live in holes, under debris of their former homes and/or in open space of what used to be their backyard. Watch the video clip below.
