Rwanda president Paul Kagame is on top of the world collecting medals (imidali in Kinyarwanda) left and right.
Last week Kagame earned a doctorate in some university somewhere in Ethiopia. And yesterday (July 9, 2016), he was awarded a new medal for championing women’s empowerment.
This latest medal was awarded in Kagame’s brand new Kigali Convention Centre (KCC) mysteriously co-owned by RPF’s Crystal Ventures together with the mafia-like Prime Holdings.
But while Kagame is basking in fame and glory, Rwanda’s economy is in total shambles.
What is my new evidence?
Don’t take my word for it. Visit the World Bank 2015 development indicators and you will find the following:
* Rwanda’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew from US$7.9 billion in 2014 to US$8 billion in 2015.
* Rwanda’s GDP per capita dropped from US$697.6 in 2014 to US$697.3 in 2015.
In other words, Kagame lost 3 cents in GDP per capita between 2014 and 2015.
