The purpose of the Global Africa Investment Summit (TGAIS) held in Kigali 5-6 September 2016, was to promote investment and intra-African regional trade.
The Summit disastrously failed to attract government and business leaders.
Out of 53 African heads of state and government, only one president travelled to Kigali to attend the Summit – Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni.
Even more embarrassingly, hardly any major business leaders from within or outside Africa attended the Kigali summit.
Poor King Paul!
