“We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.”
On 1st march 2016, we will all meet at Kampala road as we move towards the electoral commission offices on Jinja road. we will do this in a peaceful manner. Bring placards and posters. carry enough water. walk in small groups as you approach Kampala road so that police doesn’t stop you along the way. This is not illegal because we have a right to demonstrate peacefully although the state has been violating this right for so long. We must show this government that we are aware of the many injustices that are taking place in our country. we must show them that we are not sleeping, we are not hiding and we don’t fear them. we the people have the power! we should show up in bug numbers on 1st march 2016. We must show this government that those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.
For those of you who are afraid, let me ask; Can they arrest a million people? can they shoot us all? What use will their guns be when we decide to take a stand? Who remembers Egypt’s Tahrir Square Protests? We have decided to organize a one million man march to free Uganda on 1st march 2016. We should not run when they fire tear gas canisters at us, we should not fear the presence of military personnel on the streets, what reasons do they have to shoot us if we are peaceful? We should stand our ground, at least we owe that to our country! Remember, when injustice becomes a law, persistence becomes a duty.
