Last week, when Gen Emmanuel Gasana’s name appeared among the people who have been reshuffled – dumped from the post of Inspector General of Police to a being a governor of the Southern region, a place of significant history to him and his wife. Butare was the town that they first met.
Sometimes you have to look at the life of these cowboys in Kigali in the angle of screen writing and mere amusement. One main thing that cowboys in Kigali share its jigjig (Pu***), for this, they share heartedly without jealous or hate. These cow boys have a saying that “Impfura zisangira abagore” literally meaning that kind people always share women.
In mid 1990s, after the war in the country there was the mood sweeping the country known as intsinzi celebrations, those who were around know the kind of partying that engulfed Rwanda where sex was a norm in this hyper celebrations. As universities were re-opened, Butare town became a beehive of intsinzi celebrations due to the university.
During the reopening of the university, Gen Ibingira was then a Lt Col Ibingira and a division commander of the Southern region. In Butare; there was also Lt Col Kadhafi Kazintwari, captain (now Gen) Emmanuel Gasana and Captain (now col) Faustin Tinka, currently working as Rwanda’s Defense Attaché in Tanzania also the operational commander of DMI operations in SADEC countries.
While this group was in Butare , which was the tactical headquarter of the Southern military division, they also took part in ongoing celebrations of Intsinzi. And Butare being a university town, their celebrations had enough flavors.
After the war, Lt Col Kadhafi Kazintwari was a poster boy. He was young in his early 20s at the rank of a Lt Col, he still had dreadlocks, handsome. Unlike other senior officers, Lt Col Kadhafi Kazintwari was born and bred in Kampala. He was a town boy and totally cool at all levels. You needed to be around to see how women, girls and grannies admired him. He was always smart with 90s brand clothes and shoes. When the RPA attacked Rwanda in 1990, Lt Col Kadhafi Kazintwari was a 2nd Lieutenant at the age of 19 years and had just finished his cadet course in Libya. When time permits, God willing, I will one day write about this young officer, why jealous and other reasons that I will mention in future made criminal Paul Kagame dismiss him from his army. Thanks to God, criminal Paul Kagame didn’t assassinate him like he did to other senior officers who were dismissed.
Having been thrown out of the army, criminal Paul Kagame continued to frustrate him and he later left Rwanda for Uganda were he has become a devoted Jehovah witness pastor, he has mastered the bible from the book of Genesis to the book of saint Paul. Lt Col Kadhafi Kazintwari hates politics and anything attached to politics; and when Gen James Kabarebe wanted to recruit him again, he refused noting that “now, I serve Jesus only.” Lt Col Kadhafi Kazintwari doesn’t know that criminal Paul Kagame is currently being referred as Jesus’s twin by enslaved Rwandans.
Back to Butare, lover boy – Lt Col Kadhafi Kazintwari would eat the female goodies, dump them and the ruthless sharp boy Captain (now col) Faustin Tinka would grab these left overs. It was during this time of Intsinzi that lover boy met a young girl, student of Butare at the time. She was a Tutsi genocide survivor. Like any other girls, she fell for Lt Col Kadhafi Kazintwari, as his routines, the lover boy ate the goodies and later dumped for Captain (now col) Faustin Tinka to eat the remains.
While in Southern Province, these two players realized that captain (now Gen) Emmanuel Gasana was missing on Intsinzi celebrations. Blood of innocent people had overwhelmed his brain that he wasn’t interested to celebrate Intsinzi victory. Infront of women, this assassin was timid and shy. Out of pity, these players decided to hook captain (now Gen) Emmanuel Gasana to one of their numerous exes. This is when captain (now Gen) Emmanuel Gasana was hooked to the genocide survivor girl. When captain (now Gen) Emmanuel Gasana tested the goodies, the ruthless assassin appreciated the goodies and decided to marry her.
After their marriage, the newly wedded girl happened to get information that captain (now Gen) Emmanuel Gasana was a Hutu.
After finding out, she called Lt Col Kadhafi Kazintwari and Captain (now col) Faustin Tinka blaming them for her marriage, especially hooking her to a Hutu, yet they knew her feelings. Like everyone in Rwanda, she ignorantly assumed that everyone who came from Uganda was a Tutsi (a topic of another day). The wife of captain (now Gen) Emmanuel Gasana, calmly applied for a scholarship. Once she arrived in USA, she called the husband asking for a divorce of which the husband refused.
She spent years in USA, until the intervention of Gen Jack Nziza who slowly convinced the woman through different miseries and conversations. Gen Jack Nziza convinced the woman that Emmanuel Gasana and all his family baritutsuye (The process of being mentally a Tutsi despite being a Hutu.) The woman came to know how the husband was a terminator against the Hutus during the war, culminating with various promotions for the husband; the woman cooled down and accepted Emmanuel Gasana as he is. Emmanuel Gasana is a product of Gen Jack Nziza, and it was through Jack Nziza that he was able to be appointed as IGP of Rwanda. And it was Jack Nziza that saved the marriage.
However, other sources point the wife of Emmanuel Gasana to have been born and grown up from Nakivale – Uganda. What I can attest is that she knows fluent Runyankore. And according to the same source, the wife left again for Canada with the children. The source notes, “she is a supremacist who couldn’t live with her husband, but loves his cash.”
Oppressed and enslaved Rwandans, I hope you know that Gen Emmanuel Gasana is among army officers in Rwanda that can’t get visa to any western countries for being blacklisted due to their human rights atrocities.
When you are in public life – receiving tax payers’ money, citizens have the right to talk, debate, scrutinize and criticize a public servant/figure. And this is especially important when you’re looking at a blood thirst character. Ok
