Rwanda: Another Member of Ingabire’s Party Kidnapped In Kigali

Rwanda’s female opposition leader Victoire Ingabire is in fear after another member of his party was kidnapped in Kigali. Venant Abayisenga a member of DALFA – Umurinzi headed by Victoire Ingabire was Saturday evening kidnapped by the operatives believed to be from Rwanda Police and Rwanda Investigations Bureau (RIB).

He has been staying with Ingabire ever since January when he was set free from prison. Ingabire appeals to Rwanda Police to bring back safe Abayisenga.
The disappearance of Venant Abayisenga comes few weeks after another party member a one Ntirutwa who escaped murder by whisker where someone else was killed due to mistaken identity.

The 2 were cleared by court over false allegations after 2 years in jail. This year Kizito Mihigo a gospel singer in Rwanda was arrested by Rwanda police while trying to leave the country through Burundi only to be found dead in police custody. Kizito had been released from prison alongside Ingabire also in a presidential pardon.
