Rwanda prime minister tweets that there are ‘consequences to betraying the nation’ after Patrick Karegeya found dead
Rwanda has hinted at its involvement in the assassination of its former spy chief Patrick Karegeya, found dead in a Johannesburg hotel room last month, saying that there are “consequences” for turning against the regime.
Pierre Habumuremyi, the Rwandan prime minister, was responding on the social networking site Twitter to claims by friends of Karegeya, who was exiled in South Africa, that he had been killed by the regime.
“Betraying citizens and their country that made you a man shall always bear consequences to you,” he tweeted. FULL STORY
