The online venture will help integrate the public service platform that will exclusively offer Government-to-Business (G2B) and Government-to- Citizen (G2C) services in the country.

“RwandaOnline will only not improve efficiency in the way government services are provided, but most importantly leapfrog into a digital economy hence increasing on our competitiveness,” Jean Philbert Nsengiyumva, the Minister of Youth and ICT said according to a press release by RDB.

“As a Rwanda local company we are happy to lead an IT project that will transform the way every citizen, foreigner and business interacts with government,” Andrew Nyamvumba CEO Ngali Holdings said.

He said the opportunities this platform will bring to the private sector were many pointing out extending from a software development of IT infrastructure to digital services in rural areas. This Public Private Partnership (PPP) project aims at bridging the gap of accessing information and improving public service delivery through the digitalization of services.

Nsengiyumva said, “The government will now have tools to provide quick and efficient service delivery which will help increase the accountability of the government while delivering services, reduce on queuing for services plus other hurdles faced by citizens and businesses while applying for a service”.

Nsengiyumva said government wants to develop a vibrant IT Eco –System through partnership with local companies since they are better placed to develop innovative, homegrown solutions that address local challenges.

This platform will be the single service delivery portal for all government ministries and agencies providing citizens and businesses with a streamlined and efficient experience.

The digitalization of services allows for transparent service delivery, decreased cycle time through elimination of non-value adding process and reduced operational costs through elimination of manual process.

RwandaOnline will be accessible through the internet and mobile devices.
