PRESS RELEASE

We have just learnt from reliable sources, that the police raided the FDU-Inkingi headquarters in Kigali and handcuffed all those who were present including:
1. Boniface Twagirimana: First Vice-President;
2. Fabien Twagirayezu responsible for mobilization;
3. Gasengayire LĂ©onille: Assistant Treasurer;
4. Alphonse: Employee;
5. Julien: security guard.

They are currently under intense interrogation.
At the same time, systematic searches have been carried out at the house of Mr. Nsabiyaremye Gratien Assistant Commissioner of FDU-Inkingi. He has been arrested at the school where he is teaching at Rutsiro and is being brought to the capital Kigali.

This wave of arrest comes after that of the Diane Rwigara family and seeks to completely silence the dissenting voices of the democratic opposition in Rwanda.

FDU-Inkingi will oppose any kind of intimidation aimed at preventing the party from denouncing the excesses of the RPF totalitarian regime.

FDU-Inkingi call on the sponsors of General Kagame’s government to cease making themselves an accomplice in the oppression of the Rwandan people and persistent violations of human rights.

FDU-Inkingi is calling on the major donors of the dictatorial regime of President Kagame, including the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Belgium to put their full weight on Kagame to demand the unconditional release the members of the democratic opposition.
