Rwanda: Two Dead in Shooting At Police Station

In a shooting incident this morning at a police station in Busogo Sector, Musanze District, two police officers have been killed.

The police has confirmed that around 7:30 am, assistant police inspector Richard Kabandize from Busogo police station shot and killed chief inspector of police Jean Bosco Mugabo, who is in charge of the station.

Kabandize then locked himself in a room and continued shooting, injuring another officer, sergeant Gilbert Bigirabagabo.

Other police officers finally managed to kill the attacker.

The police has announced that a team of officers will investigate the circumstances of the incident.
