The New Times (January 26, 2017) is reporting that “close to 9 million Rwandans own mobile phones.” This is quite interesting. According to this claim, it means, therefore, that only 2 million Rwandans do not have mobile phones since the country’s total population is 11 million. We know, however, that Rwanda’s age structure is as follows:
* Rwandans aged 1-14 years: 5 million;
* Rwandans aged 15-24 years: 2 million;
* Rwandans aged 25-54 years: 4 million;
* Rwandans aged 55-64 years: 0.4 million;
* Rwandans aged 65 and over: 0.2 million;
So how is it possible that close to 9 million Rwandans own mobile phones? Rwandan demographics show that Rwanda’s population is overwhelmingly very young. In fact the adult population (15 years and over) in Rwanda slightly over 6 million.
Kagame statistics are fake – totally.
If we are to believe that 9 million Rwandans own mobile phones, it would mean that in Kagame’s Singapore of Africa, even babies and children under 14 years of age who number 5 million own mobile phones.
What a crazy regime!
