Rwanda’s authorities are believed to have kidnaped a young woman named Diane Ishimwe

Rwanda’s authorities are believed to have kidnaped a young woman named Diane Ishimwe. This young lady appeared on Isimbi Youtube Channel not long ago. Diane Ishimwe, an orphan, raised by her grandparents was looking for her dad or any of her dad’s relatives.

Diane Ishimwe was born in refugee camps in Congo. When those camps were dismantled by Rwandan Defense Forces who used ruthless measures including randomly firing in crowds, grenades, mortars even heavy artillery, Diane Ishimwe, then a baby returned to Rwanda with her mom whom a few years later died.

Her father who got separated from his family, according to Ishimwe’s few remaining relatives, he may have been killed by Rwandan Defense Forces, who took Ishimwe’s dad named Rukwaya Pierre Celestin along with other people, threw them in a big hole, covered them with old mattresses, poured gasoline on those mattresses, and then burned them alive.

Diane Ishimwe was only asking for anyone who can help her locate her dad’s relatives. Her grandparents who raised her both passed away, now she is left alone and would like to connect with her father’s side.

Rwanda’s authorities do not tolerate anyone who mentions war crimes committed by Rwanda Defense Forces in Rwanda and in Congo in the 90’s wars that ravaged the region. Different sources are confirming that Diane Ishimwe has been kidnapped and her whereabouts are unknown and people fear that she is being tortured or worse may have been killed.
