South Sudan: Who is in control of Juba??

In the battle for Juba, president Salva Kiir is losing top ranking officers like flies. His heavy military weapons are being captured by Riak Machar’s SPLA_IO troops. Juba has turned into another Mogadishu. This time, Salva Kiir is finished. On thursday, when Salva Kiir’s troops attacked Riak Machar’s troops, they assumed they are attacking a small force as agreed by the Nairobi a code (Number of Machar’s troops allowed in Juba).

But for the last months, due to mistrust, Machar secretly reinforced his troops in Juba and around Juba, in the anticipation of any attack from Salva Kiir. On Thursday his instinct served him well as Kiir’s troops started attacking Machar’s headquarter in Juba without any single provocation. The aim was to militarily wipeout out SPLA-IO.

But the man in hat /Salva Kiir totally miscalculated when attacking Machaar, the resistance from Machar’s troops, the huge number of SPLA-IO stationed in Juba has surprised SPLA-IG and particularly Kiir. The info coming from Juba is that, once again, the man in the hat has asked military assistance from Kampala.

Will Museveni save his anointed brother for the second time? At the moment, Salva Kiir is losing control of Juba. The sheer swiftness of Machar’s boys has even surprised military observers in the region!!…..Lets wait for the end game. The end game may be decided by their proxy masters in Khartoum and Kampala.
