The world must know these stories of Rwandans who survived Kagame and the RPF’s atrocities in DRC

TRANSLATION: “I watched a video of you interviewing a young rescue named Jean Pierre that reminded me of how when I was fleeing atrocities as a young child (pre-teen), I STARVED to near death. Then I decided to just stop by anyone eating and start eating with them UNINVITED. Most people were so distressed, you were rarely rejected. In some places we WERE SO THIRSTY that we CUT BRANCHES OFF TREES and SQUEEZED the little water in order to STOP DRYNESS IN OUR THROATS. My brother, it was HORRIBLE”. That’s what the testimony in this screenshot. I got it yesterday.

I was once neighbors with the guy who sent me this testimony. He was affected by the atrocities years before I had to face them. He was a young child when the RPF led by Kagame attacked his home in Byumba and he fled their massacres and was temporarily displaced inside Rwanda until the RPF took over Rwanda and he kept fleeing into Congo. He walked for months with no shelter, the the RPF hunting down refugees to exterminate them. He survived but lost most of his family along this “journey”. Thankfully, he’s still alive to tell this story. The world must know these stories in spite of dangers it poses to those who loved them when they share these publicly.
