Uganda Makerere University fire: ‘Ivory Tower’ gutted

Ugandans are already putting the fire blame on Uganda Police, they claim the police force dispatched only one fire track and rely on a video which actually has two fire trucks.

I have used my highly informed sources to collect more videos with more trucks some of these are even state of the art, Uganda police had 12 trucks at the scene According to a highly credible source.

There is an argument that Uganda Police fire failed on its mandate, the major reason given is that the University is located in Kampala therefore police should have put out the fire.

Reality is that when police gets to the scene they will first prevent spread, this was done and the fire was put out.

People must understand that putting out fire on flammable materials like paper and furniture in an enclosed place is not an easiest task, you end up looking at saving the integrity of the Building as priority, this is why institutions are saying data on cloud platforms.

In my opinion the Police Force did a great job preventing this fire from spreading, they tried to prevent the fire from destroying the integrity of the building, Ugandans must learn to wait for official reports rather than speculate.
