THE father to exiled former intelligence chief Gen David Sejusa, aka Tinyefuza, Simon Peter Rwajojo, has been hospitalized at Uganda Heart Institute (UHI) –Mulago.

Rwajojo was admitted last week after experiencing health complications. UHI’s spokesperson Chris Kwesiga told New Vision in an exclusive interview on Friday that Rwajojo has been their client for the last two and half months.

“Rwajojo came to hospital with chest problems, now senior cardiologists are carrying out several tests on the patient to find out the exact problem. He is also expected to undergo a brain CT-Scan,” Kwesiga added.

Kwesiga revealed that Rwajojo is improving, compared to when he had just been admitted. He is however feeding through tubes and talks with difficulty.

At the time of admission, Rwajojo was first taken to the intensive care unit where patients in critical are hospitalized but later on relocated after improvement.

Rwajojo’s relatives however, were not willing to talk to the press.

In 2013 Rwajojo’s son Dan Mutungi passed on. He reportedly threw himself into a pond on his father’s farm at Bweyale village, in Lugusuulu Sub-county, Ssembabule District.

Sembabule Health Centre carried out a post-mortem examination and said he had died due to drowning. The doctor also revealed that Mutungi had also drunk poison before going to the pond.
