Rwanda: The Untold Stories: Dictators are dictated not requested.

It is now an open secret that Kagame is under extraordinary pressure from all corners of political divide because of his dictatorial government that does not respect the rule of law. Rwandans should therefore stand up for their rights by resisting against a ‘dictatorial regime’ that has disregarded the rule of law in the country, Kagame’s dictatorship’ started with the elimination of all the political opponents and now he has moved onto disregarding the country’s institutions.

The courts of law have become Kagame’s institutions, they lock or unlock on the orders or remote control of Kagame. It started when the military tribunal presided over by Brigadier General Karyango found Col. Mudenge not guilty of the crimes doctored by Kagame’s military machinery. Unfortunately without due legal process the General and his colleagues were relieved of their duties.

Similarly Kagame has used or misused his courts to confiscate the property of the  Rwandan Tycoon   Tilbert Rujugiro   Ayabatwa using the abandoned property  law  which was initially  established to take the property of the genocide suspects or those who will be labeled suspects so that they could run away and Kagame takes over their property,

Apparently, Mr. Ndibwami Alain the lawyer representing Mr. Rujugiro Ayabatwa, has been detained too. Does Kagame think that Rwanda belongs to him? Does he think that Rwanda is Kagame and Kagame is Rwanda? This has reminded me when the President of Zimbabwe was asked about the atrocities he was committing against his countrymen especially MDC of Mr Morgan Tsvangirai, President Mugabe said that “Zimbabwe is mine”

President Kagame has not only hijacked the  judiciary despite the principle of separation of powers  between the Executive and other institutions as  guaranteed by the Rwandan Constitution , the army and the police  have also become  tools  for cracking down all the political opponents and those perceived to be.

All his Ministers have been intimidated  to an extent of  where some  come out publicly  and declare  that they  held anti – Tutsis sentiments , indeed, the Minster of Public service Mr. Murekezi  Anastase  appeared today in  Igihe.com an online  Kagame spokes mouth  while launching Ndi Umunyarwanda in the District of Muhanga , Sector  of Kabacuzi, where he apologized for the hatred he harbored against the Tutsis when he was a student in Belgium in the 1970s.

According to this Hon. Minister he wrote a letter with his colleagues urging the Rwandan government of the time to limit the number of students of the Tutsis in schools.  “Ndasaba Abanyarwanda imbabazi, kuko ibyo nanditse nabyanditse ndi umuntu mukuru uzi ubwenge kuko nari mfite imyaka 21 y’amavuko.”

Interestingly the Mayor of Kigali Mr. Ndayisba Fidel said that he was beaten by his teachers   several times because he didn’t reveal his ethnicity to the teachers when they asked students to stand up in accordance with their ethnic background. According to him he stood up when they called Hutus and Tutsis.  In an ambiguous manner he left his audience in paradox without telling them his ethic background.  It could be submitted that all these revelations are not born out of conviction but rather out fear, intimidation and opportunism.

Apparently Dr Leon   Mugesera is fighting for his freedom for the words he said  when he was addressing people at  Kabaya in 1992,  the words of hatred constituted a crime of genocide, why then people like Anastase  Murekezi  and his colleagues  who confesses that they even wrote a letter to then the government of Rwanda?    Does he have a copy of that letter so that Rwandans can see it?  In fact genocide is a culmination, accumulation of inflammatory words such as those of Anastase Murekezi.

Whereas what the Hon. Minister is saying might be true, it also possible that, all these utterances are motivated by greed, power, and leave a lot to be desired.

For some of us who know Kagame, he has laid his trap to catch a prey in fact if all these so called Hutus come out to confess that in one way or another they have committed crimes and crimes of genocide, they will never get out of his talons. Already he has established a law of genocide ideology, to him if he misses you on the commission of genocide; you will not get out of his talons on the crime of the genocide ideology

As I have mentioned above he will instruct his Prosecution Authority and the courts to keep these guys on their toes. They will never be free in the government or outside the government, technically all the roads to an independent mind are already blocked. Kagame has not only intimidated the politicians, but also the business community,  for those who remember the likes of Valence Kajeguhakwa ,  Alfred Kalisa, now Rujugiro Ayabatwa  cant fail to question where Rwanda is heading.

It is absurd that Rwanda lacks strong Civil Societies to check on the powers of Kagame and his regime, analyze the major challenges faced by the Rwandan population, and adopt common positions and strategies to address these challenges; in fact they are acting in the same way up to the days of genocide. Likewise religious institutions like the Catholic Church have been suffocated since the Killing of its Bishops at Gakurazo, Kabgayi in 1994; others have been infiltrated by the agents of RPF. It seems the killing hand of Kagame is unstoppable and should be resisted.
