Last night, after Real Madrid trouncing 3 – 0 against their arch – rival Atletico Madrid in a Champions league Semi-final at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium; which saw a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick. In a post match interview, Zinedine Zidane described Cristiano Ronaldo in one word. “Unique.”
While Zidane saw Cristiano as unique, today, I have witnessed a unique young lady – Diane Shima Rwigara. A lady who has come out to fight against a criminal regime, despite the brutal consequences that maybe fall against her life. She sees an obligation to fight for constitution rule and the rule of law. A lady who has come out to face her father’s killers. She is totally fearless and the criminal regime is in a political quagmire, still fabricating on how they may deal with this young lady who has announced that, she will stand for Rwanda’s presidential race in August of these year.
